More About Anne Marie Plotnikov Wildlife and Impressions are Anne Marie's Top Creations From a child she has devoted time exploring nature in the majestic BC outdoors. Anne Marie was born in Kitimat, BC and her lineage is German and English. Anne Marie married a Canadian man with Russian lineage who is also an artist and woodcarver. Their home is in the Kootenays where there is an abundance of wildlife and parks. Her most profitable time is spent hiking and photographing the grandeur of the Canadian Rockies. Anne Marie devoted two decades to professional workshops, teaching and doing one man shows, as well as a joint show with her husband and his woodcarvings in Vancouver, BC. She has exhibited in galleries throughout Canada - her favorite place being Banff, Alberta, in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Anne Marie has received several awards in juried art shows and competitions. Many of her works have found homes in Alaska, Florida, Eastern & Western Canada, as well as Washington and New York. She has done several commissions including photographing and painting race horses and portraits. She has also donated work to the Kootenay Wildlife Federation and Ducks Unlimited to support her environment. She has also sent work to Eastern Canada in support of vanishing wildlife. Her hobbies include hiking, computers and training horses. Anne Marie has done some research in animal behavior - wolves being her favorite. She only uses the finest quality art materials from various parts of the world and works with a wide variety of media. Her latest ventures include acrylic on cotton. Anne Marie keeps an open mind, looking at her art work as a serious yet fulfilling adventure. |
